Our Staff

Preschool teachers are the first educators your child will have. Our teachers will inspire a love of learning in your child and help prepare them for kindergarten. They will encourage children to explore and try things out by using imaginative play and learning activities.

My name is Devin Willis and I’m the Director at Allison Creek Preschool. I love being part of such a wonderful preschool. I have lived in the Lake Wylie/ Clover area for 10 years and love this community.

I am a graduate from UNCC with a BA in Communication Studies. I have been at Allison Creek Preschool since 2012. I was the Assistant Director for the 2015-2016 school year and transitioned this year to the Director. I love working with children and watching them and our preschool grow. I strive to stay current on Early Childhood education and practices so that your child(ren) will get the most benefit out of their preschool education.

I’ve been at Allison Creek Preschool since 2018 as the Office Manager or “Lunch Lady”, as some of the kids call me. I have lived in the Clover area for 18 years. I am married to Tim, and we have 3 sons. All three of my boys attended Allison Creek Preschool and loved their time here. I enjoy crafting and hanging out with my family…going hiking, camping, kayaking…and always staying busy.

It’s been a pleasure to be part of the preschool for so many years…from my involvement as a parent, a substitute, the chapel music teacher, serving on the Preschool Board and as Board Chairman. I am so excited to be back at Allison Creek and working alongside the great staff and getting to know all the kids. It’s precious to see them grow and learn and share who they are.

My name is Debbie Nichols and I have been with Allison Creek Preschool since 2017. I graduated from The University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree in English and Secondary Education. My family and I are very active in our church, Ridge Church, in Matthews. I reside in Lake Wylie with my husband and 3 children. My hobbies include spending time with my family, reading, and working on anything crafty.

I’ve been working at Allison Creek Preschool since 2018 and part of the Allison Creek Preschool family for many years now. I am so excited to be a part of the staff this year. I live in Lake Wylie with my husband and children. I have been in Lake Wylie for 11 years.

I have been a nanny to many children over the years, all of whom attended ACPS. Working with our Toddlers is a perfect fit for me. I love helping and watching the children grow throughout the year and seeing all that they are able to accomplish.

My name is Hannah Potter and this is my first year at ACPS. I am the 2's assistant in Miss Marci's class and I am so excited to be working with your children! I live in Lake Wylie with my boyfriend Zach and our two cats, Emerald and Owen. I graduated from Winthrop in 2016. In addition to working at ACPS, I teach dance in the afternoons at Adagio School of Dance. I love working with little ones and am so happy to be a part of this community!

Hi! My name is Angie Ingold and I started teaching at Allison Creek Preschool in 2020. I started as Staff Support and recently joined Windy as the Two's assistant. I am very excited to spend this school year with your children!

I live in York with my husband Jericho and 3 sons, Benji, Cael, and Emmet.

When not at ACPS, I enjoy spending time with my family. We spend our weekends outside at soccer games, at the gym for basketball, or watching college football. If I get lucky and have a day free from sports I love to go shopping!

I’ve been working at Allison Creek Preschool since 2018 and part of the Allison Creek Preschool family for many years now. I am so excited to be a part of the staff this year. I live in Lake Wylie with my husband and children for 11 years now.

Hey everyone, my name is Mrs. Amy. I started with Allison Creek in 2016. I absolutely love being in the classroom. We ARE A FAMILY. I am Married to Wes, and we have 2 children. Sage is a sophomore and very active in sports and Marli is in 8th grade and she enjoys horseback and volleyball. We have dogs, chickens, and a horse. I can't wait to meet you and enjoy our year together learning new things and making memories.

My name is Caroline Rhodes. I started my journey at Allison Creek Preschool in the Three Year Old Program in 2015. Prior to this, I substituted frequently at ACPS. I was also an Instructional Assistant at Westminster Catawba Christian School for six years. I have been a nanny for two wonderful boys, who are ACPS alumni, for ten years. I served as a Children’s Leader In Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) 2001-2004. My love for children, and their education in all areas, continues to grow with every passing year.

I am very excited for this school year! I have been at ACPS since 2017 as an assistant in the Two year old class. I’m originally from south Florida. We moved to South Carolina 10 years ago and absolutely love it here. I've been married to my husband for 16 years and we have a 13 year old son. I have previous experience in child care and always felt it was something I wanted to get back into. I love children and it’s rewarding to watch them learn and grow. I look forward to getting to know your children.

My name is Ashley and I started teaching at ACPS in 2020. Previously I have served on the Preschool Board, and my youngest two children attended Allison Creek Preschool! I've been a part of Allison Creek for many years in various capacities! I work alongside Mrs. Amy in the 3's class, and we have so much fun!

I live in York with my college sweetheart (whom I married) Karl, and we have three wonderful children: Quin, Lucy, and Will. When we aren't busy with sports or Boy Scouts, we love to travel as a family and visit new places. I also love to read and bake, although I'm better at reading than I am at baking. We love spending time with family and are blessed to have them close by.

I am so excited to be a part of the ACPS staff, and feel truly blessed to be able to spend my days with our precious students!

Alisha Rudd

Hi everyone! My name is Alisha Rudd, and I started teaching at ACPS in 2020. I work alongside Ms. Caroline in the Three's class and feel that God led me to this position to serve and love on His children.

I live in York with my husband Jonathan and my two kids, Peyton and Ava. We have a 3-year-old Shorkie named Chewy whom we rescued and has completed our family.

I am also a wedding and lifestyle photographer, currently serving my 10th year as owner of Alisha Rudd Photography. I love trips to my parents' cabin in the mountains, playing board games with my kids, and spending time outdoors.

I am thrilled to be working alongside the awesome staff at Allison Creek Preschool and am thankful for all the families who have entrusted their little ones to us!

I have been a part of the preschool for many years, as all of my children attended ACPS. I started as a substitute teacher in 2017 and later joined the staff full-time.

I am originally from the Atlanta area (Go Dawgs) but have lived in Lake Wylie since 2014. I graduated from the University of Central FL with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. I am married with 3 wonderful kids. In our free time, we enjoy taking family vacations and watching our kids play sports.

Molly Thurman

Hello, my name is Molly. I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio I attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy. After graduation, I continued to work in Ohio until I relocated to South Carolina in 2007. I started teaching at ACPS in 2008. I live in Lake Wylie with my husband, David, and my two sons, Drew (age 18), and Sam (age 14). When I am not teaching I like spending time with my family. We enjoy camping in the mountains and watching Steeler Football. On weekends I can be found on the field watching my boys play soccer and lacrosse. Watching them play sports is one of my favorite past times as well as my proudest moments.

I feel blessed and proud to have the opportunity to teach at ACPS!

I started teaching at Allison Creek in 2011 and have been a teacher or assistant in every age class.

I have been in the Lake Wylie area for 20 years and have definitely watched it grow!

My husband Scott and I have one daughter, Bella Grace, who just started 6th-grade middle school at Oakridge Middle School.

I am excited about the year and meeting lots of new children.

I have been with Allison Creek Preschool since 2016. I am originally from Syracuse NY, we relocated to Clover, South Carolina in 2014, with my husband's company. I have been married for almost 18 years and have 2 children aged 17 and 15, my daughter will be graduating this year. We absolutely love the south and do not miss the snow and cold weather at all!

I have an LPN nursing degree and have worked as a nurse for 20 plus years. I worked in the school system up north in the health office for 5 years before we moved. I am beyond excited to meet your little ones and can’t wait for the exciting year ahead!

I began teaching at Allison Creek Preschool in 2018, and I am very excited to be part of this wonderful family. I live in Lake Wylie with my husband and two children after moving to the area from St. Louis in 2017. We definitely miss home but have met amazing people in this great little community.

I love working and being creative with all our preschoolers in the art room. I have previously worked for many years in a Mother’s Day Out program and a middle school in St. Louis. I feel Allison Creek is a wonderful fit for me!

I arrived at Allison Creek as pastor in 2001 and have been blessed with 20 years of ministry here. One of my blessings was watching how God moved in miraculous and surprising ways to start the Allison Creek Preschool. When we tried to start preschool, we had one application. So we tried again a few months later and had only two applications. We called a meeting of our governing body to disband the preschool. On the day of that meeting, I checked the mail. There were two additional applications. We took that as a sign that God had other plans. Other families began to commit to the preschool and we were off and running. However, in the second year, we had five children and three teachers. We once again faced a crisis. But once again families began to reach out to us and told us they felt called by God to enroll their children in this preschool. Since that humble beginning, I have been blessed to work with great directors and teachers and been blessed by the many children who call me by name.

I lead chapel every Thursday morning. This provides me an opportunity to share a biblical story and interact with the children. Some mistake me for “God” (which I strongly discourage!!) but together we learn to worship and learn together.

I am married to Kathryn who is the Director of Christian Education at Unity Presbyterian in Fort Mill and we have three young adult children. I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Dairy Science (happy to tell you about that!) as well as a Master of Divinity and Doctorate of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.

I have been teaching at Allison Creek Preschool since 2007. I started teaching the four-year-old program and did that for several years before starting Playball. I moved to Clover from the DC area 16 years ago with my husband and two children. My kids are now both Seniors-one at the University of South Carolina and one at Clover High School. We have loved raising our family here! I attended the University of Maryland and majored in Elementary Education. I have always loved working with children and started teaching gymnastics 33 years ago. Playball is the perfect program for me because it combines my love of teaching and being active.

My name is Jessica Stephens and I am a Playball Coach at Allison Creek Preschool. I began teaching Playball at ACPS in 2020. Previously, I was a preschool teacher in addition to being a stay at home mom for my 2 daughters. I just love being a part of the development of these precious children. I have lived in the Charlotte area for 11 years, and in Lake Wylie for over 3 years. My daughters are both in the Clover School District and we love it here!
